If my journey can empower and motivate people, then I want to bring an impact in whatever way I can.

Talking to and playing for students at an elementary school.
Jasmine and her dog, Fiji, have traveled over 10,000 miles on a bicycle across the U.S. and Canada. She completed her first journey with less than $50.00 in her pocket, no previous long-distance cycling experience, and no camping skills. As a young black woman weighing over 200 lbs, Jasmine does not fit the standard profile of most long-distance cyclists, but she’s happy to defy stereotypes about race, gender, and body image.
On top of all that, Jasmine travels with her violin, using it to communicate and connect musically with people from different walks of life, while also practicing, learning, and trying to chase her dreams of being a professional violinist along the way.
She experienced many random acts of kindness and hospitality along the way, and she tries to pay-it-forward through sharing her story, volunteerism, and raising money for instruments for community and school music programs.
